CT scanner
Our centre is equipped with latest hybrid 16 slice scanners from GE Healthcare, USA. The machine with our specialist team of doctors gives most accurate and precise diagnoses of any illness from head to toe. It is capable of doing virtual bronchoscopy, virtual colonoscopy, angiographies and CT guided biopsies.
The speed of the scanner is so fast that it not only reduces the radiation exposure but also provides quick imaging in emergency patients. All routine CT scans are done using ultra-thin 0.625mm slices with volume acquisition & isometric reconstruction.
3D scans especially for orthopaedic patients is also routinely done with this latest scanner. Above all patients pay the same charges for routine CT scans as those at any other centre not having these high quality machines.
This scanner has a special x-ray tube and rotation speed, capable of performing very rapid scanning with 16 detector rows. The configuration of the machine also provides advanced pulmonary imaging, multi-organ trauma evaluation and low-dose pediatric applications to boost clinical capabilities to the highest level attainable.
Digital xray
Digital X-Ray Systems
Best quality X-Rays using lowest radiation dose
We at Jeewan Mala Diagnostics were among the first centres to put digital xray machine in Delhi NCR. Now with better and improved CR system we have digitized the entire process of taking an X-Ray.
All routine plain X-rays and special procedures, including barium studies, intravenous urography. HSG, MCU, etc. are conducted using CR 850 system from Kodak medical system.
Non invasive CTA
Non-invasive CT Angiography
Non-invasive imaging technologies
CT - Angiography offers breakthrough performance in advanced pulmonary imaging, multi-organ trauma evaluation to boost up the clinical capabilities to highest level attainable. This helps in positioning the data acquisition accurately in specific phases
Non-invasive CT Angiography
Non-invasive CT Angiography is a technique that shows the blood vessels of the body in great detail, without any discomfort to the patient. The scan hardly takes a few minutes to perform but the information it provides is very precious. It can show the functioning of the heart, the blood vessels of the legs, thigh, arms, abdomen, lungs etc in great detail.
Precautions to be taken before a non-invasive CT angiography:
- We need the patients kidneys to be working fine. For this we need the patients Kidney Function Tests to be done. We need the patients Blood Urea Nitrogen and Serum Creatinine reports
- The patient would need to be fasting for 4 hours prior to the test.
With our latest CT scanner scan times are now on the order of several seconds (usually 5-13 seconds); this means that even patients with severe pulmonary disease and congestive heart failure can hold their breath for the required length of time. Reduced time translates to minimal or no motion artifacts.
It is also very useful in multi-organ trauma evaluation and low-dose pediatric applications to boost your clinical capabilities to the highest level attainable.
Indications of CT coronary angiography.
- Asymptomatic patient with family history of coronary artery disease
- Patient with high risk factors
- Prior to non-coronary surgery in the adult population, e.g.,
- Pre - ASD repair
- Pre - valvular repair
- Pre - tumor surgery
- Follow up post CABG
- Atypical chest pain with doubtful coronary origin
- Evaluation of coronary anomalies
- Exclusion of coronary stenosis in symptomatic high risk patient
- Assessment of cardiac neoplasm
- Assessment of stent patency
- Detection and characterization of congenital heart disease
- Diagnosis of pericardial disease
- Prior to major (non-cardiac) surgery
- Non-conclusive stress tests
4D ultrasound
3D - 4D Ultrasound
3D/4D ultrasound is just as safe and can be done in your doctor’s office. We only scan mothers under prenatal care and have undergone the diagnostic ultrasound exam by a set health care provider.
3D - 4D Ultrasound
Ultrasound is the safest way of looking inside the human body. It involves the use of high - frequency sound waves which are harmless to the human body. At Jeewanmala hospital we have ultrasound machines by Voluson GE Healthcare and the MyLab by Esaote Medical.
Ultrasound scanning can help in almost any domain of disease identification. It is useful in pregnancy, it can be done for the breast, lower abdomen, upper abdomen - liver, pancreas etc, heart, bones, joints, neck etc. Ultrasound is a valuable tool and in the right hands can clear out most doubts related to the diagnostic queries that we are faced with.
Color doppler
Colour Doppler
A duplex/doppler ultrasound is a test to see how blood moves through your arteries and veins. Doppler looks at how sound waves are reflected off from moving objects, such as blood. Gray scale ultrasound uses sound waves that are bounce off from blood vessels to create pictures. We do Doppler studies for all body parts - eg
- Arterial and venous doppler ultrasound of the abdomen (portal venous/splenomesentric)
- Carotid duplex ultrasound of the neck
- Venous and Arterial Doppler ultrasound of the extremities (both arms and legs)
- Renal ultrasound in hypertensives etc
- Pregnancy Doppler studies - (details in pregnancy ultrasound section)
Mammography
A mammography scan is a High-Resolution X-Ray of the breasts. It is done earliest possible detection of breast cancer, at a stage where it can be treated. It is a painless technique with our new mammography machine. Extra care is taken by our female staff and the female radiologist doctor who has her training from India, London & Paris.
JeewanMala Diagnostics has always given the best possible services to its patients. With this new comfortable mammography machine combined with ultrasound scan and if necessary image-guided tru cut biopsy, has increased the precision of our diagnosis multi-fold.
Digital Mammography System -
Complete with arm-rests, chest padding and arm-pit padding, our mammography system provides the highest level of comfort for the patient during the scan. The machine automatically controls the degree of compression applied to the breasts for optimizing the amount of radiation exposure. It automatically releases the compression once the scan is done.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND ALL WOMEN AFTER THE AGE OF 40 YEARS TO UNDERGO MAMMOGRAPHY WITH HIGH RESOLUTION ULTRASOUND BREAST ONCE A YEAR.
Dexa
Bone Densitometry:
Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA, previously DEXA) is a means of measuring bone mineral density (BMD).
It assesses the risk of fracture in our bones so that adequate treatment can be given to reduce the risk and improve the quality of life. DEXA is a type of x-ray which is used to measure the calcium content of the bone. It is a simple, quick and non-invasive medical test that involves in exposing some parts of the body to very small amount of ionization radiation.
This machine also calculates the body fat distribution and the proportion of muscle and fat in the body. Therefore important in patients who intend to loose weight and those who want to maintain their body weight.
PFT Bronchoscopy
Bronchoscopy-
Invasive & Virtual
Pulmonary Function Testing
We at Jeewanmala hospital have facility to test your lung health by doing - virtual bronchoscopy using our advanced CT scanner and Pulmonary Function Testing system for Spirometery and Diffusion Abnormality. Its most patient friendly and hygienic system which helps in screening and diagnosing lung problems.
Non invasive cardiac lab
2D ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY-
Echocardiography is a very precise method to detect the hearts movement and shape. It is a non-invasive technique that uses sonar to study the motion and appearance of the valves.
TMT
Treadmill test (TMT) or exercise stress test is one of the commonest forms of stress tests for diagnostic evaluation of coronary artery disease. The cardiac stress test is done with heart stimulation, either by exercise on a treadmill. The level of mechanical stress is progressively increased by adjusting the difficulty (steepness of the slope) and speed. The cardiologist (specialist doctor) examines the symptoms and blood response. Our machine uses special algorithms and measures multiple risk factors which can be reported simultaneously, giving a comprehensive view of the risk, and also can assess the risk of Sudden Cardiac Death, which is now is a very common phenomenon across the world.
ECG
ECG is a simple, painless test that records the heart's electrical activity. To understand this test, it helps to understand how the heart works. With each heartbeat, an electrical signal spreads from the top of the heart to the bottom. As it travels, the signal causes the heart to contract and pump blood. The process repeats with each new heartbeat.
